Position Description
PingWind, Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Information Assurance Technology Specialist to support our staffing plan for the US Army Contracting Command (ACC) Chief Information Officer\G6 Headquarters (HQ), located at 4505 Martin Road, Redstone Arsenal (RSA), AL, provides contracting policy oversight to 100 different contracting offices and subordinate commands located world-wide. The ACC enterprise consists of over 6,200 military and civilian contracting professionals located at contracting offices across the contiguous United States (CONUS) and outside the contiguous United States (OCONUS). Information Technology (IT) services supports ACC’s global contracting mission to the warfighters through the full spectrum of military operations.
The HQ ACC’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) and G6 staff provides critical mission support services designed to enable the workforce with applicable secure technology solutions that will reduce and ultimately eliminate manual business processing and generate resource cost savings and efficiencies for the ACC enterprise.
The Information Assurance Technology Specialist position involves performing system and application administration to include but not limited to; continuous monitoring and maintenance support for ACC owned systems (e.g. Surveillance/Badging systems, PADDS, Public Facing Website) to include patching, account management, continuous monitoring, system configuration, sustainment, and maintenance support. Account management will include the creation and deletion of accounts and the management of training products created by users to ensure they are made available or removed as needed. This role will require the ability to perform daily tasks within the ISSO role as well as complimentary tasks in a Systems Administration role. The person filling this role should be capable of performing the duties as well as up to date on current technologies associated. Recommending enhancement for efficiencies as well as ability to implement those recommendations is expected. Supporting the Network Operations Support Center or CCRI preparation will also be routine.
Primary Responsibilities
· Configure, maintain and support ACAS Scanners for the Badging System(s) to include report generation, and scanner upgrades, evaluations.
· Assist ISSO with daily tasks and information gathering/uploads to eMASS for associated systems.
· Provide System Administration support with system hardening, STIGs and vulnerability mitigation.
· Maintain currency on IT Technology advances, provide recommendations for enhancements to increase/improve efficiencies within the organization, assist in
implementation and validation of efforts. (MicroSoft 365, Power Applications, Power Automate, AI, etc.)
· Develop strong working relationships across the G6 Divisions for intel exchanges and potential enhancements/benefits.
· Provide requirements and metrics analysis for proposed upgrades/enhancements. Ability to perform patching and remediation for all supported systems.
· Requires knowledge of STIGs and IAVMs remediation/mitigation strategies.
Required Skills
· Qualified Candidate should be familiar with Microsoft applications, Microsoft Windows operating systems, SQL server, and most recent versions of Microsoft Server as well as be able to download and apply updates as needed.
· Experience with Red Hat Linux
· Experience with ACAS and other vulnerability tools is a plus.
Desired Skills
· Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting
· Active Directory, Group Policy
· Familiarity with DoD STIG Requirements, RMF, IAVMs
· Strong understanding of physical and virtual networks
· Familiarity with vSphere
