Job Description:
As an Information Assurance Specialist at Parsons, you will join a fast-paced team supporting mission-critical requirements for the Department of War and United States Army. Become part of a diverse group of 500 professionals delivering expertise in information assurance, cybersecurity, and compliance across Aberdeen Proving Ground and Edgewood, Maryland, for a portfolio of efforts spanning 5 years and a total value exceeding $600 million. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in evaluating and supporting IT system accreditation, risk management, and compliance, ensuring robust security practices that advance Army modernization and support to the warfighter.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee, evaluate, and support documentation, validation, and accreditation processes for IT systems.
Ensure new and existing systems meet information assurance and security requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Monitor and validate assurance activities, supporting ongoing system security and integrity.
Maintain and update documentation to reflect current IA practices and compliance status.
Collaborate with stakeholders to address risk treatment and compliance issues.
Maintain required certifications and continuing education hours as a member of the Cybersecurity Workforce.
Complete OJT evaluations and maintain privileged access credentials as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a Master's degree from an accredited university, or completion of relevant CNSSI/NDU certificates or military training courses
Must have a minimum of 5+ years of specialized experience in Information Assurance Compliance (Specialty Area 61).
An active TS/SCI is required
Preferred Qualifications:
CISSP, CISM, GSLC, or CASP certification required.
Minimum of 40 continuing education hours per year as a member of the Cybersecurity Workforce.
Completion of OJT evaluation (NAVEDTRA 43469 watch station 303/3043 as applicable) within directed timelines.
Operating system credential may be required per Privileged Access Agreement.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain privileged access as required.
