The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Information Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Answering questions and resolving issues communicated by end users in collaboration with others

• Developing / coding technical solutions as defined by project leaders and subject matter experts

• Testing solutions developed by internal and external development teams

• Gathering requirements for specific solutions to support business decisions in collaboration with others

• Supporting stakeholder communications for projects to ensure users are well informed of specific changes

• Staying informed on industry best practices and trends in compliance systems, application support, and systems management to drive continuous improvement.

• Contributing to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

OR

• High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) AND Five (5) or more years of experience supporting business or technology systems, including helping users solve issues, gathering requirements, testing system changes, and working with technical and business teams.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Customer service experience with the ability to respond effectively to stakeholder needs

• Experience using SQL (Structured Query Language) to query, manage, and analyze data

• Experience with data analysis tools and software to support reporting and business insights

• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power BI

• Experience with quality testing and validating data, processes, or system outputs

• Ability to work in an agile environment

• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

• Passion for technology with a curious growth mindset and be comfortable with new technologies

• Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field

Work location:

• This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
