Informatica Big Data Management Engineer

Job Summary

Join Synechron as an Informatica BDM Engineer, a key role in our data integration and management team based in Dubai, UAE. As an Informatica BDM Developer, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced data integration solutions using Informatica Big Data Management. Your work will enhance our ability to handle complex data sources and leverage the Hadoop ecosystem, contributing to our business objectives by improving data processing capabilities and scalability.

Software Requirements

• Required:

  • Informatica Big Data Management 10.2.X
  • Hive Database: Hive DDL, partitioning, and Hive Query Language (HQL)
  • SQL/PLSQL proficiency
  • Experience with Hadoop ecosystem components: HDFS, Spark, Hive
  • Database technologies: Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server

• Preferred:

  • Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions like AWS RDS and Azure Database
  • Experience with SQL Management Studio and Oracle Enterprise Manager

Overall Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ETL processes using Informatica Big Data Management, leveraging Spark, Blaze, and Hive execution engines.
• Design and deploy dynamic mapping use cases to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Transform and load data from complex data sources, including unstructured data and NoSQL databases.
• Utilize Hive Database effectively for data processing and management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop functional specifications, and ensure successful integration.
• Contribute to the implementation of Data Lake and dimensional data modeling to align with business needs.

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an Informatica BDM Developer or similar role, with a focus on complex ETL processes
• In-depth knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem and its components
• Experience with unstructured data sources and NoSQL databases is preferred
• Industry experience in data engineering or data integration environments is advantageous

Day-to-Day Activities

• Engage in the full lifecycle of data integration projects, from requirement gathering to deployment
• Conduct regular meetings with cross-functional teams to align project objectives and deliverables
• Work on data transformation, loading, and optimization tasks to ensure high-performance data processing
• Prepare functional and technical documentation to support project development and execution
• Make informed decisions regarding data integration strategies and technology utilization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Relevant certifications in Informatica or data management tools are preferred
• Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development in data technologies
