BAE Systems is seeking an Infor Lawson Systems Administrator to join one of our programs. The availability of this position is contingent on being submitted and obtaining a high-level security clearance. Security clearance processing can take 1 - 2 years to obtain. Must be US citizen.
The Infor Lawson System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Infor Lawson ERP environment. This role ensures system stability, security, and performance to support critical business functions, including human resources and payroll. The Administrator serves as a technical point of contact for system upgrades, patch management, and environment synchronization.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance & Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Infor Lawson application servers and environments.
- Work with DBAs to manage system backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Perform routine system health checks, monitor performance logs, and troubleshoot system bottlenecks.
- Execute software updates, service packs, and version upgrades across development, test, and production environments.
- Middleware & Application Server Management:
- Deploy, configure, and tune application servers such as IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, and Apache Tomcat.
- Ensure seamless integration and communication between the middleware layer and the Lawson application.
- Security & Access Management:
- Manage user accounts, security groups, and role-based access controls (RBAC) within Lawson.
- Configure and maintain LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) integration for centralized user authentication and directory services.
- Take part in regular security audits to ensure compliance with corporate data governance and internal control policies.
- Manage password policies and coordinate with Identity and Access Management (IAM) teams for Single Sign-On (SSO) integration.
- Environment & Data Management:
- Manage the promotion of code and configuration changes from development to production using formal change management processes.
- Work with DBAs to perform data refreshes and environment cloning to ensure testing environments mirror production.
- Utilize SQL Developer and write queries to analyze, validate, and manipulate system data.
- Support & Collaboration:
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for complex system issues, coordinating with Infor support for product-level defects.
- Partner with functional leads to translate business requirements into technical system configurations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for system architecture and administrative procedures.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience: 3 years of direct experience in Infor Lawson System Administration.
- Proficiency in Infor Lawson architecture.
- Middleware Expertise: Proven experience administering IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, Apache Tomcat and similar middleware products.
- Experience in writing SQL queries to manage, query, and manipulate data stored in relational databases.
- Strong understanding of Java runtime environments and application deployment.
- Solid skills and experience in Unix/Linux.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience utilizing SQL Developer and/or PL/SQL
- Experience in LDAP configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience working within Agile frameworks to deliver iterative system improvements and technical enhancements.
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $132962 - $226035
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
