We have a new opportunity for a full-time Infection Control Preventionist and Staff Educator at our 5 star CCRC in West Caldwell! This position offers a full range of benefits and a competitive salary between $95-$110K!

General Responsibilities

Primary responsibility for the development, implementation and administration of organization-wide systems for the prevention and control of infections as well as maintaining compliance with accrediting, licensing, and governing agency expectations related to infection prevention and control program. She/he assesses the educational needs of the staff and develops and implements training programs to meet those needs.

Basic Qualifications

Education/Training/Certifications:
• BSN with current RN license. MSN or MPH preferred.
• Association for Practitioners in Infection Control (APIC) training course, Infection Preventionist training or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in teaching, curriculum development and instruction design is desired.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is preferred.

Skill(s):
Effective communication skills, basic computer skills.

Experience:
Minimum of five years clinical experience in a hospital or long-term care setting or disease surveillance experience in a public health setting.
