The MEMS Group located in Wilmington, MA is seeking an Engineer with systems engineering and inertial sensors experience. This role will focus on supporting our extensive portfolio of System level products based on MEMS sensors. Primary responsibilities include interactions with our assembly and test teams, leading customer engagement, proactively seeking product, process, and quality improvement opportunities, and disseminating learnings to future products.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional experience with inertial sensor technologies and/or in a systems engineering role.
- MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or closely related fields.
- Experience in characterization, and validation of sensing systems that includes theory of operation, fabrication, packaging, and design trade-offs.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot product failures through board level inspection, signal tracing and component testing.
- Experience in programming in Visual Basic, MATLAB and LabVIEW and familiarity with programming electronic interfaces with test equipment and data acquisition instrumentation.
- Experience with test equipment such as vibration test systems, shock testers, laser doppler vibrometers, centrifuges, thermal chambers, or other similar test capabilities.
- Ability to conceive and propose ideas for process and product improvements.
- Experience with data analysis, statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE).
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and respond quickly to changing priorities.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership including designing, building, testing, and troubleshooting test boards, electronic interfaces, and measurement systems.
- Strong oral, written, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including the ability to collaborate in a diverse team environment.
- Experience with managing customer interfaces.
