Job Overview

Legacy Supply Chain is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support our Greenfield, IN distribution center. As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for Identifying and delivering on service improvement activities throughout the distribution center. This position will report to the Regional Operations Manager, with a dotted line to the site General Manager. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • Consistent daytime schedule with flexible start time
  • $90,000-$100,000 base salary

What to expect as an Industrial Engineer:

  • Provide and present to our customer and Senior Leadership creative solutions in the areas of dedicated distribution
  • Work collaboratively with operations management to develop and execute strategic planning goals and provide consultation services to customers
  • Review building layout/Inventory slotting & placement to continuously strive for space improvement
  • Apply highly quantitative methods to warehouse operations with the intent of optimizing total delivered cost and maximizing service levels
  • Analyze and improving current best practices & SOPs in the warehouse
  • Applies Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and other best practice continuous improvement tools
  • Lead sourcing efforts for MHE, Racking and warehouse automation products

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree from a 4 year college or university (Industrial Engineering degree strongly preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years related experience preferably in a 3PL environment
  • Experience with AutoCAD and facility layout and design
  • Experience with various MHE, warehouse automation and racking products
  • Ideal candidates must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with clients (internal and external), vendors and Legacy personnel
  • Working knowledge of financial statements
  • Working knowledge of labor management and warehouse management systems
  • Advanced level skills in MS Excel
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Skills Required

  • Four-year engineering degree
  • Industrial Engineering degree
  • At least 2 years of related experience
  • Experience in a third-party logistics environment
