What the role feels likeThis is a practical, technically focused engineering role with strong exposure to real industrial environments. You’ll work across multidisciplinary projects involving power, instrumentation, automation and control systems, gaining hands-on experience from concept design through to commissioning and operational delivery.
What you’ll do- Deliver electrical, instrumentation and control engineering for industrial facilities
- Develop technical specifications, power systems and control system designs
- Support multidisciplinary projects across energy, manufacturing and water sectors
- Work directly with clients and contractors to solve operational and integration challenges
- Contribute across concept design, detailed design, construction and commissioning
- Travel to industrial sites across New Zealand, building practical plant and systems experience
- Support projects involving automation, industrial machinery and process systems
- Degree qualified Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer
- Around 4-8 years’ experience within industrial or infrastructure environments
- Strong knowledge of low voltage power, instrumentation and control systems
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary project environments
- Practical mindset with interest in industrial systems
- Familiarity with hazardous areas and AS/NZS 60079 beneficial
- Willingness to travel to client and project sites across NZ

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechatronics engineering
- Proven experience in a similar role with 5+ years
- Solid technical knowledge of industrial Low Voltage power systems
- Familiarity with hazardous area and AS/NZS 60079
- Willingness to travel to site
