We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Industrial Controls Engineer to configure, program, and commission custom control systems based on project specifications and plans. This role will support both in-house technicians and field teams, including warranty and troubleshooting work. Occasional travel may be required when remote support is not feasible.
Key responsibilities:
· Design and modify CAD drawings for control system layouts
· Develop, test, and implement PLC programs for custom control systems
· Perform scheduled system maintenance and support
· Provide technical support via phone and in the field
· Assist with troubleshooting, improvements, and modifications.
· Create technical documentation, including FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) reports and SOPs
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
· Understanding of CAD and editing, and modifying drawings
· Strong competency in electrical control systems and troubleshooting
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
· Expertise in electro-mechanical repair and testing
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
· Willingness to travel occasionally for onsite commissioning and support
Education and Experience
-A degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus
-PLC programming experience
- Knowledge of Industrial Parts, Equipment, Manufacturing, and Engineering Services.
-Proficiency in PLAC programming (experience with common platforms preferred)
Work Environment
-Office and Industrial setting
-Collaborative setting with a focus on communication.
- Exposure to hazardous equipment.
- Mandatory use of proper safety equipment (e.g., steel-toed boots, safety glasses) and adherence to safety procedures.
- Exposure to loud noises.
