The Indirect Tax Manager is a new position that will be responsible primarily for indirect tax reporting and business support across The Americas region. The role will support global expansion initiatives and international tax reporting, and will also support ad hoc requirements as needed. This position is part of a growing team that works in a fast-paced environment, where attention to detail and an ability to work cross-functionally, and take on new challenges, is crucial to success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Own all indirect tax reporting requirements across North and South America.
- Keep track of legislative changes in indirect tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and authorities during audits and inquiries.
- Guide finance and other business leaders on global indirect tax savings opportunities and initiatives across various jurisdictions.
- Assist Senior Tax Manager in EMEA with VAT compliance.
- Support SOX documentation processes while streamlining procedures for indirect tax return reporting.
- Analyze GL, reconciliations, and tax reports to ensure accurate reporting of tax; reconcile data between systems to ensure integrity and accuracy. Find and drive opportunities for effiency.
- Assist with Federal, State, and local informational reporting requirements and other special projects as they arise.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field required.
- 6+ years of indirect tax experience in public accounting and/or combination of public accounting and/industry experience.
- AvaTax, Ecommerce, and Oracle implementation experience a plus.
- Willingness to take on new challenges and learn while executing.
- Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Positive attitude, good work ethic, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
