Team and Position Summary:
SCT DevOps Team manages all the Supply Chain tech applications across different market.
At Walmart, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build functional systems that improve customer experience we are now looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer. They will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet our customers' needs. If you have a solid background in software engineering, we’d love to speak with you.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop fully automated CI/CD pipelines including automated quality checks and security scans
Support existing CI/CD pipelines
Develop CI/CD standards and guidelines for developers
Train developers on the best practices of CI/CD and DevOps
Position Requirements:
Minimum qualifications:
Must Have Skills:
Hands on experience with development of CI/CD pipelines, Linux, System Administration.
Hands on experience with Git, Artifactory or similar Maven repos, Jira, Splunk.
Hands on experience with configuring of build jobs in Jenkins or similar services
Hands on experience with Kubernetes
Hands on experience in scripting: Ansible, Bash, Golang, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Ruby
Hands on experience with Maven, Gradle, Node, Npm, Xcode Build, etc
Monitoring Tools: Dynatrace, Medusa, and Grafana;
Cloud Technologies: MS Azure, GCP and Open Stack
Preferred skills:
Code → Plan → Monitor → Deploy → Build → Test → Release → Operate → Code
Testing Tools: Apache J-Meter, Gatling;
Programming Languages: SCALA, and JAVA;
Databases: SQL Server, Oracle
Operating Systems: Linux, Cent OS and Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Web and App Servers: Apache and Tomcat;
Additional Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Process-oriented with great documentation skills
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
Our Ideal Candidate will have the following education and experience:
Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Position not require 6 to 9 years of experience with listed skills.
