About The Role:
Leads the operational oversight of the organization’s cyber incident response process to ensure response, mitigation and remediation of cyber security incidents.  This role is a part of a team of Incident Commanders providing response support 24x7x365.  Establishes, documents, maintains, and reviews relevant processes and procedures to ensure they remain relevant and reflect the criteria and goals of the organizational cyber incident process from detection through containment, mitigation and remediation, and are aligned with industry best practices.

What You´ll Do

  • Assist Threat and Incident Response leadership with strategic planning to ensure the proper staffing, tooling, and processes are brought to bear in the protection of the organization from cyber attacks.
  • Oversee the contracting and deployment of internal organizational resources in support of the incident response mission.
  • Function as a subject matter expert resource in cyber incident response for a very large global organization operating within many regulatory jurisdictions.
  • Ensure incident response processes are and remain relevant and best practice to limit risk to the organization.
  • Assist in the evaluation of new tools and capabilities as they relate to incident response.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field or
  •   10+ years of relevant information technology experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

  • Willing to go through Security Clearance
  • Proficient in risk management, compliance, and security technologies
  • Relevant certifications preferred GSEC, CEH, Cloud Security, etc.
  • Committed to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and technologies
  • 5-10 years of cyber security experience
  • Preferred: 5 or more years of cyber incident response experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • ​Industry-leading expertise in Cyber and IT security disciplines, including standards, risks, threats, and prevention strategies
  • Practical understanding of secure system architecture and large infrastructure design
  • Proficiency in Linux, and Windows operating systems
  • Practical experience with scripting languages and automation tooling
  • Expertise in networking, network security, and associated tools and products
  • In-depth knowledge of public key infrastructures and certificate/key management best practices
  • Experience   in risk assessment and strategic security management.  Must be able to understand and articulate how a risk or vulnerability may affect a large global organization

Work Environment

If you are within 25 miles form a DXC office, you are expected to work hybrid mode twice a week

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $115,100 - $213,700.
