Description
The Importing and Logistics Specialist shall be responsible for organizing the procurement of goods and services, as well as coordinating the delivery and logistics processes thereof. They shall ensure proper planning of purchases, selection of suppliers and timely delivery of procured goods, with minimal costs and maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the procurement of goods and services
- Conduct market analysis and select the most effective suppliers
- Draft procurement orders, receive and compare pricing offers
- Negotiate deals with suppliers
- Coordinate the process of transporting goods from local and international suppliers
- Work with customs authorities, transportation companies
- Monitor the movement of goods, ensure timely delivery to the warehouse or stakeholder department
- Prevent and resolve issues that arise during delivery (delays, damage, etc.)
- Collect and process required documents, such as invoices, transportation documents, customs declarations
- Enter procurement and delivery data into internal information systems
- Cooperate with Customer Finance, Accounting and Legal units, ensuring seamless operation
- Submit regular, i.e. daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports on their performance and procurement status
- Perform other functions assigned by the immediate supervisor, arising from the requirements of the position, including written and verbal instructions given by the supervisor
Requirements
- University degree in business administration, economics or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of Armenian, Russian and English languages
- In-depth knowledge of procurement, logistics and supply chains
- Knowledge of local and international transportation and customs procedures
- Strong negotiation and organization skills
- Excellent self-discipline and time-management skills
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and pressure
- Ability to come up with solutions to unpredicted issues and challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
