ResponsibilitiesRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the import and export processes of CGR shipments.
- Manifest shipments in the ACE interface.
- Maintain email notices and communications with customers and customs brokers pertaining to shipments.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations, including customs regulations.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all import/export transactions in accordance with record retention requirements
- Monitor and track domestic and international shipments; proactively identify an d resolve shipping delays or customs clearance issues.
- Field incoming customer requests via email and phone with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Prepare documentation related to dangerous goods.
- Assist with audits, inquiries, or reviews related to shipping and trade compliance.
- Coordinate cross-department efforts for proper invoicing
- Performs other duties as assigned by the manager to support business and operational needs
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
- High school diploma or GED
- Bilingual – Spanish / English
- Five years of relevant experience working in import/export documentation.
- Experience coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be motivated, detail-oriented and able to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision.
