Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Import and Compliance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and customer-specific standards while managing import operations effectively. Your duties will include overseeing the identification, communication, implementation, and tracking of all regulatory and customer-specific compliance requirements. You will review routing guides for testing, labeling, and other compliance-related functions, ensuring that all requirements are met prior to shipping. Proactively identifying issues and challenges, you will communicate with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions as needed. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Factory Manager and Quality Control (QC) team on compliance monitoring and reporting for audits.
- Compliance Functions
- Oversee that all regulatory requirements and customer-specific compliance requirements are identified, communicated to factories, implemented, and tracked as required
- Review routing guide for testing, labeling, and other compliance-related functions and ensure all requirements are met / will be met by time of shipping
- Identify issues and/or challenges proactively and communicate with internal and external stakeholders on issues and solutions as they arise
- Work with Factory Manager and QC on compliance, monitoring, and reporting for audits
- Give green light for all compliance testing and Customer QC inspections prior to shipment
- Logistics Functions
- 10+ years of experience in compliance, freight, document retention.
- Oversee the DI/LI team functions from order receipt through shipment and invoicing
- Ensure appropriate process with checks and balances is in place to achieve on-time shipment, on-time invoicing, accurate information and highest level of customer service provided to our customers
- Support the parts replenishment process for accounts
- Compile the monthly revenue forecast and provide status to executive team on a weekly basis
- Review requirements for new accounts, establish processes to support implementation of new partners
