Project Summary
We are seeking a mid-level Implementation & Operations Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the deployment and ongoing operations of the TrustVisitor commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) visitor management platform. This role serves as a technical coordinator across identity, access control, networking, and application support teams, working closely with the implementation partner during deployment and transitioning into full operational ownership post‑implementation.
The ideal candidate is technically versatile, comfortable learning a new COTS product through self-study and shadowing, and skilled at managing system operations end to end in a secure enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the TrustVisitor implementation team to learn system architecture, configuration, and integration points through hands-on support and shadowing
Coordinate with internal teams (IAM, networking, security, facilities, and PACS vendors) to support system configuration and integrations
Assist with setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of:
Identity validation and access control workflows
Single Sign-On (SSO) using PIV/CAC and certificate-based authentication
SSL/TLS certificates, including lifecycle management and renewals
Group Managed Service Accounts (gMSAs)
API connections and data feeds to/from interfaced systems
Support connectivity and security requirements for an on-premises application exposed to the public internet via a DMZ
Perform routine operational tasks such as certificate renewals, log review, system health checks, and basic troubleshooting
Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration details, operational procedures, and support processes
Serve as the primary internal technical point of contact for TrustVisitor following implementation handoff
Coordinate issue resolution with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors supporting interfaced applications
Required for This Opportunity
Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience supporting IT infrastructure, COTS implementations, identity and access management, or enterprise application operations
Working knowledge of:
API fundamentals (endpoints, authentication methods, connectivity, and COTS system integrations)
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
Active Directory concepts, including Group Managed Service Accounts
Certificate-based authentication and PIV/CAC
SSO technologies (SAML, OIDC, certificate-based authentication)
SQL Server fundamentals (basic queries, connectivity, and troubleshooting)
Understanding of DMZ architectures and securely exposing on‑premises applications to the public internet
Strong troubleshooting skills with familiarity in Windows Server environments (IIS concepts, logs, service behavior)
Excellent communication, coordination, and technical documentation skills
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams and external vendors
Nice to Have Skills
Experience supporting enterprise COTS applications in a production environment
Familiarity with Physical Access Control Systems (PACS)
Exposure to FICAM-aligned identity and credentialing solutions
Prior experience supporting visitor management or credential validation platforms
TrustVisitor experience (preferred but not required)
