Job Summary:
The Implementation Lead is responsible for leading the configuration, implementation, and successful delivery of our SaaS platform for government clients. This role serves as the primary bridge between clients, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure solutions are designed, configured, tested, and deployed in alignment with customer requirements and business objectives.
The ideal candidate brings strong implementation and client-facing experience, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This position requires both hands-on configuration expertise and leadership capabilities to drive successful customer outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Implementation
- Lead the configuration and customization of the SaaS platform based on client requirements and business needs.
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient system configurations.
- Design implementation solutions that align with product best practices and industry standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product teams, and development teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Identify configuration gaps and recommend enhancements or alternative approaches.
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary implementation contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and solution reviews with clients.
- Provide guidance on platform capabilities, configuration options, and best practices.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure successful adoption and customer satisfaction.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and proactively communicate project updates, risks, and recommendations.
Quality Assurance & Delivery
- Develop and execute testing strategies to validate configured solutions.
- Ensure implementations meet client requirements, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve configuration-related issues during implementation and deployment.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and production readiness activities.
- Monitor implementation success and coordinate post-deployment support activities as needed.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Create and maintain detailed implementation documentation, configuration guides, and process workflows.
- Develop client-facing training materials and support knowledge transfer activities.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior implementation team members.
- Contribute to the development of implementation standards, templates, and best practices.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve implementation methodologies, processes, and tools.
- Stay current with product enhancements, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
- Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software implementation, SaaS configuration, solution delivery, or related technical consulting roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise or government client implementations.
- Proven experience managing multiple implementation projects simultaneously.
- Experience working directly with customers in a consultative, client-facing capacity.
- Experience working with government, public sector, or highly regulated organizations.
- Experience with Agile project delivery methodologies.
- Professional certifications in project management, implementation, business analysis, or related disciplines.
- Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder software implementations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong experience configuring and customizing SaaS platforms or enterprise software solutions.
- Working knowledge of databases, data integrations, and web-based technologies.
- Experience with APIs, data mapping, and system integrations is preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL, scripting languages, or other technical tools is an asset.
- Strong understanding of software implementation methodologies and deployment practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong project planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive decisions across cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and support team members.
Work Environment:
- Office setting with a moderate noise level.
- The employee will work at an individual workstation, using a telephone and computer.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to remain seated for extended periods.
