In the fight against breast cancer, every medical image is an opportunity: to unlock insight, to uncover risk, to embody health, to empower life. ScreenPoint’s Transpara Breast AI delivers unmatched precision for breast radiologists and helps define personalized care pathways for every woman we serve. Make your mark as part of The Breast AI Company.

As The Breast AI Company, ScreenPoint Medical is scaling rapidly across the U.S. and globally. To support this growth, we are seeking a highly capable Implementation Engineer to join our Customer Success team and play a critical role in bringing Transpara into live clinical environments.

This role is customer-facing, technical, and impact-driven, with direct ownership of deployments, upgrades, and operational success across U.S. healthcare institutions

As an Implementation Engineer, you will serve as the technical bridge between ScreenPoint, clinical users, hospital IT teams, and integration partners. You will be responsible for deploying Transpara into production environments, maintaining system health over time, and ensuring customers achieve reliable, performant clinical outcomes.

You will work primarily remotely, with occasional on-site travel across the United States, and collaborate closely with Customer Success, Engineering, QA/RA, Product, and external partners (PACS, modality vendors, routing vendors).

Key responsibilities

  • Deployment & Implementation
    • Lead remote and on-site installations of Transpara across hospital and imaging center environments
    • Validate infrastructure readiness (hardware, virtualization, networking, security, DICOM routing)
    • Configure DICOM workflows between modalities, routers, Transpara, PACS, and reporting systems
    • Perform installation acceptance testing and handoff to clinical use
  • Operations & Maintenance
    • Own ongoing system maintenance for assigned customer sites
    • Maintain accurate technical documentation of installed systems and environments
    • Identify and proactively address performance, capacity, and stability risks
  • Platform & Scale Contribution
    • Contribute to the evolution of standardized deployment patterns, reference architectures, and technical documentation.
    • Help reduce time-to-go-live through improved tooling, templates, and repeatable infrastructure approaches.
    • Apply cloud and hybrid infrastructure principles (AWS and/or Azure) to regulated, on-prem hospital environments
    • Provide structured feedback from the field to inform product, engineering, and quality improvements
  • Troubleshooting & Technical Support
    • Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving DICOM routing and study completeness, network latency or firewall constraints and infrastructure limitations
    • Analyze logs and system metrics to identify root causes and escalation paths
    • Collaborate with Engineering and QA/RA on complex investigations and corrective actions
    • Provide Tier-1 and 2 customer support and technical guidance
  • Customer & Internal Collaboration
    • Act as a trusted technical partner to hospital IT teams and clinical stakeholders
    • Support internal teams (Sales, CS, Engineering) with technical assessments and customer-specific guidance
    • Assist with training, best-practice recommendations, and operational optimization
    • Contribute feedback from the field to improve deployment standards and documentation.

Job requirements

You are self-motivated with a high level of energy, enthusiasm and initiative. You are able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of outcomes. Your written and verbal communication skills are excellent. Furthermore, you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field
  • Hands-on experience working with hospital IT environments and networked systems
  • Strong understanding of medical imaging workflows and standards (DICOM required)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud or hybrid deployments (AWS and/or Azure), including networking, security, and operational monitoring
  • Ability to translate cloud-native principles into regulated, on-prem hospital environments
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)
  • Experience deploying or supporting enterprise software in regulated environments
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally within the United States

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with HL7
