Implementation Engineer
REPORTS TO: Manager, Professional Services
DIRECT REPORTS: No
POSITION OVERVIEW
This Implementation Engineer role is responsible for configuring and customizing e2open’s Intelligent Application Suite in line with the E2open's direction and customers’ business needs. The Implementation Engineer will lead/work in a team of project manager, architects, application implementation engineers and testers in the full SDLC cycle including requirements gathering, solution design and development, user acceptance testing and solution implementation.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Understanding complex requirements from Customer/Solution architect and translate into technical design and clear documentation on how value-based use cases will be implemented
- Leverages E2open product expertise to guide clients on the solutions and configurations that will best meet their needs
- Develops functional design specifications and technical design. Writes Process Flows and Business Blueprint documents
- Configures E2open application and collaborates with technical team for implementation of integrations and complex customizations to meet client’s needs
- Lead technical discussions with internal product/analytics team to implement complex solutions.
- Customizing standard solutions to meet complex customer requirements.
- Reviewing codes for other team members’ configuration
- Mentoring other team members in configuration and project delivery
- Presenting solutions to the customers.
- Trouble-shooting technical issues of projects that other team members are not able to solve
- Effectively communicates a variety of information (e.g., technical details, status updates, obstacles and challenges being faced, strategies for resolving issues, reporting and interpretation of data) in a way that the client understands and finds meaningful
- Responsible for collaborating regularly with global, multicultural teams both within E2open and on client’s side
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree/Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant IT programs / courses.
- 3-6 years of technical developer experiences
- Strong skills Core JAVA, Groovy, Python, SQL, Basic knowledge of Linux
- Some exposure to Integration involving XML, API, Webservice & B2B Protocols like EDI, XML
- Good understanding of SDLC
- Working knowledge of at least one E2open solution (tech stack, delivery methodology, change mgmt.)
- Firm understanding of implementation best practices
- Complex troubleshooting skills
- Good Enterprise Software Implementation Experience
- Good knowledge of English – Verbal and Written
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- General office environment and responsibilities requiring:
- Extensive use of the computer which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday
- Placing and receiving phone calls
- Occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds
- May require 10% travel or more if needed
