The Role

As passionate about our people as we are about our mission.
What We're All About :
Q2 is proud of delivering our mobile banking platform and technology solutions, globally, to more than 22 million end users across our 1,300 financial institutions and fintech clients. At Q2, our mission is simple: Build strong, diverse communities by strengthening their financial institutions. We accomplish that by investing in the communities where both our customers and employees serve and live.
What Makes Q2 Special?
Being as passionate about our people as we are about our mission. We celebrate our employees in many ways, including our "Circle of Awesomeness" award ceremony and day of employee celebration among others! We invest in the growth and development of our team members through ongoing learning opportunities, mentorship programs, internal mobility, and meaningful leadership relationships. We also know that nothing builds trust and collaboration like having fun. We hold an annual Dodgeball for Charity event at our Q2 Stadium in Austin, inviting other local companies to play, and community organizations we support to raise money and awareness together.
The Job At-A-Glance:
Q2 is seeking an experienced Implementation Engineer to work as part of our PrecisionLender Service Delivery team. The Implementation Engineer acts in a client facing capacity and plays a critical role in the functional and technical delivery of integration solutions across the PrecisionLender client base. The Implementation Engineer is experienced in software implementations, project management and system integrations and is skilled in building customer relationships and working across multiple functions of a client's organization. An ideal candidate will also have knowledge and experience working with major Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Loan Origination System (LOS) platforms like Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
A Typical Day:
As an Implementation Engineer, it's your job to showcase the value of PrecisionLender's integrations with external bank systems and show them how powerful this flow of information and streamlined ecosystem can be. You'll understand the technical challenges because you've dealt with all of this before. You will not only guide them in the implementation of our Integrations, but you will also help them get the most out of it when it's complete.
This is accomplished by doing the following:

  • Serve as our Integrations Subject Matter Expert by educating clients and potential clients about our various Integration options, implementation processes, and best practices. Help them to see the value in our Integrations, and the support our team will offer them.
  • Manage assigned client implementation projects from kick-off through end user roll-out.
  • Lead in depth discovery sessions geared at fully understanding clients' current CRM/LOS workflows and user experience.
  • Partner with bank technical teams to successfully install and configure integrations into CRM/LOS systems.
  • Identify challenges and derivations from standard integration approach and propose creative solutions to help clients get over project hurdles.
  • Create strong relationships with clients with a focus on developing strategic partnership between their organization and ours.
  • Set clear expectations on project timing and deliver results that meet and exceed those expectations.
  • Provide ongoing updates on all projects to internal stakeholders informed of all projects.
  • Partner with both Product and Development teams for support on technical and/or complex issues that arise in implementation projects and ongoing support.
  • Embrace change, seek out new initiatives and provide ideas and recommendations to better serve our clients.
  • Develop a firm understanding of the PrecisionLender platform and how the most successful banks use it, both as a standalone application and when integrated with external systems.

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here's What We're Looking For:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a client facing role, focused on implementation of integrated software solutions.
  • Past project management experience with a track record for delivering complex projects in a well-organized and timely fashion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working on the setup/Admin side of the Salesforce.com Platform (and bonus points if you have any SFDC creds).
  • Experience/understanding of the commercial banking and financial services industries is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment where no two days look alike and there is always a problem to be solved.
  • Detail oriented with an emphasis on organization and process improvement.
  • Embraces a growth mindset, with a willingness to continuously learn and accept being taught and optimistically approach challenges.
  • Effectively able to balance multiple demands and execute in appropriate order of importance and urgency.
  • Demonstrates resilience in situations of uncertainty or when outcomes differ from expectations.
