We are seeking to appoint an experienced ICT Procurement Specialist to join our Brokerage team on a permanent contract basis.

This role is based at our Dublin 1 office; however, we are pleased to offer a flexible working arrangement via our Work-Life Balance Framework. This allows you to work from home up to three (3) days a week. You will be expected to work at least two (2) days a week in the office, giving you the opportunity to enjoy a balanced and dynamic work environment.


What the Brokerage Team does

The Brokerage Services team design, establish and promote procurement agreements that deliver value in terms of cost, technical benefit, compliance, reduced client effort and time saving.

Asiera’s internal procurement function is part of the Brokerage Services Team and manages most internal procurement processes, the majority of which are ICT related. 


What the ICT Procurement Specialist does

The ICT Procurement Specialist will report to the Brokerage Team Lead and will have duties spanning the full procurement lifecycle including but not limited to supporting the creation of frameworks, DPS’s, supporting the running of tenders, driving engagement, procurement planning, etc.

What we need from you 

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an end to end procurement lifecycle role
  • A relevant 3rd level qualification and/or equivalent experience gained in a similar role
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Irish and EU procurement rules and guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience developing constructive and co-operative working relationships and maintaining them over time with clients, providers and colleagues
  • Experience in devising plans for contract delivery and managing and monitoring supplier performance over the term of the contract
  • Ability to coordinate and direct projects, make detailed plans to accomplish goals
  • A flexible attitude to the evolving needs of the post and its environment
  • Open and transparent with a high degree of personal integrity
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member

Bonus Points

We don’t need you to have experience in the following areas, but if you did it could be beneficial:

  • Technical appreciation of ICT products, services and licensing relevant to the education and research sector
  • Experience with the higher education sector
  • Experience as an ICT practitioner e.g. IT operations/ development/ etc.   
  • Public Procurement knowledge and experience, either on the supply or demand side
  • Project Management - proven delivery of complex ICT projects
  • Presentation skills with experience up to Senior Management and/or Board level
  • PowerBI, Excel (advanced), programming skills, IT operations
