SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
The IAM Specialist Sr is responsible for fulfilling access requests in a timely manner for employees, contractors, consultants or other authorized personnel working on behalf of SouthState Bank or its subsidiaries in compliance with company policies, departmental procedures, government regulations and identity security principles. Additionally, the IAM Specialist Sr assists the IAM Team Leads or IAM Provisioning Manager in the disposition of audit, exam, governance or other similar requests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitor IAM ticket queues and work tickets as assigned
Provide regular updates on open tickets to requestors to keep them apprised of current status
Create, modify or delete nonprivileged and privileged identities, whether human or non-human, in accordance with company policy and departmental procedures and within documented service level agreements (SLAs)
Create, modify or delete access groups in accordance with company policy, departmental procedures, the principle of least privilege and within documented service level agreements (SLAs)
Acquire and/or confirm explicit or implicit management approval for all requests as appropriate for each application and document thoroughly for historical reference
Execute on audit, exam, control or other similar requirements as assigned and to a high standard of evidentiary quality
Assist in the development and maintenance of IAM operational documentation, process, and procedures
Assist with technical or procedural questions raised by IAM Specialists
Timely completion of required audit documentation for all tasks assigned

Experience:
4+ years of experience working in an Identity & Access Management (IAM) role
Prior work experience in a regulated environment, such as banking, investments or healthcare with banking experience strongly preferred
Experience maintaining technical data and documentation
Foundational knowledge of IT General Controls
Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) certification is preferred but not required
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES
Required annual compliance training, New Employee Orientation
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time. Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers.
Must be accustomed to professional business office environment in manner and dress. Must demonstrate excellent human relation skills with customers and bank associates. Must be willing to participate as a team member.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered.
