Role: IAM Security Specialist

DESCRIPTION

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Ability to influence change in corporate understanding and adoption of information security concepts. 

2. Proven solid analytical and problem solving skills. 

3. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with peers, IT management and staff, and internal/external business partners/clients. 

4. Ability to manage various technical projects to completion. 

5. Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and other business related software systems. Other technologies will apply dependent on business area supported. 

6. Preferred insurance industry knowledge. Education & Experience: 

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. 

2. Typically a minimum of four years of technical experience in the security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications and network protocols or an equivalent combination.

Job Description: 

 Strong organizational and documentation skills are required for this position. Knowledge and work experience in the practice of IaM, including SailPoint IdentityIQ, AD, LDAP, ACF2 and other platforms, is required.

 Key Responsibilities 

1. Ability to work independently to deliver specified IAM related documents 

2. Business role documentation maintenance 

3. Application specific documentation maintenance 

4. Understands modern IAM methodologies and approaches, is familiar with User Administration and Provisioning, Identity and Access Governance, and Identity Governance and Administration concepts 

5. Understands Controls, Control Gaps, and Action Plans Other Knowledge, 

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities 

1. Strong technical writing and documentation skillset 

2. General understanding of insurance industry, its products, practices and operations. 

3. General understanding of system development life cycle, system and application development alternatives. Basic understanding of interface design and user centered work methods. 

4. Knowledge of client area's business and systems. 

5. Good analytical and problem solving skills. 

6. Solid verbal and written communication skills to translate business needs and ability to convey business requirements and technical needs in clear, concise, and effective manner. 

7. Ability to work independently as well as in team environment. 

8. Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and other business related software systems. Education & Experience 

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. 2. Minimum 5 years of professional IT / Audit / Information Security related work experience 3. Minimum of 2 years of experience performing business analysis activities supporting the implementation for one or more Identity Management, Identity and Access Governance, and/or Identity Governance and Administration solutions 4. Completion of course work towards applicable certifications preferred.
