Job Purpose
The Edge network and Operations Senior Manager is responsible for driving the strategic vision, operational excellence, and sustainable growth of the EDGE (Young Professionals Network) network while ensuring strong operational infrastructure across regional initiatives. This role partners closely with regional leadership, headquarters executives, volunteers, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality events and community impact aligned with the organization’s mission. Reports to the IAC New York Regional Director.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
IAC NY EDGE Network Responsibilities:
- Lead the vision, strategy, and growth of the EDGE (Young Professionals) network in partnership with the EDGE Board and regional leadership.
- Design, curate, and manage an annual EDGE network calendar, including professional development, cultural, social, and community-building initiatives.
- Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of EDGE signature events (e.g., IAC NY EDGE Summit, pitch nights, Jewish holiday celebrations, and Shabbat gatherings), ensuring high-quality participant experience and strong attendance.
- Manage EDGE network budgets, including forecasting, expense tracking, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and funding requirements.
- Provide strategic oversight of marketing and outreach efforts, collaborating with marketing teams to grow visibility, engagement, and participation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, business professionals, investors, sponsors, and partner organizations to expand program reach and impact.
- Identify and pursue fundraising and sponsorship opportunities to support EDGE initiatives, including assisting with grant writing and donor cultivation.
- Serve as primary point of contact for EDGE volunteers and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, engagement, and alignment with program objectives.
- Measure and evaluate program success using defined metrics and post-event assessments to inform continuous improvement.
- Expand outreach through marketing, social media, and collaborations with local organizations.
Operations Management Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and hands-on leadership over regional operations, ensuring efficient systems, processes, and workflows that support programs and events.
- Lead comprehensive budget planning and management, including annual planning, forecasting, monitoring expenditures, and financial reporting.
- Partner closely with headquarters executives and regional leadership to align local operations with organizational strategy, policies, and standards.
- Develop, manage, and track annual operational plans and goals, ensuring timely execution and accountability.
- Oversee all logistics for large-scale regional events and fundraising galas, including venue selection, vendor management, contracts, staffing, timelines, and on-site execution.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, nonprofit regulations, contractual obligations, and risk management standards.
- Establish and refine operational processes and documentation to improve efficiency, scalability, and consistency.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Prepare operational updates and reports for senior leadership, highlighting performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Proactively identify operational challenges and implement solutions to support growth, quality, and mission impact.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification a plus.
- Proven experience in program management and operations within a nonprofit, community-based, or mission-driven organization.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with demonstrated ability to translate organizational vision into actionable programs and operational plans.
- Experience managing complex budgets, financial forecasting, and reporting, including working with restricted funds, grants, and donor-supported programs.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with volunteers, and influence without direct authority.
- Experience planning and executing large-scale events and fundraising galas, including vendor management, logistics, and on-site operations.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, including working effectively with executive leadership, boards, donors, partners, and community leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to diverse audiences and prepare reports for senior leadership.
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively, identifying new approaches to programming, operations, and community engagement.
- High level of problem-solving and adaptability in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Knowledge of nonprofit compliance, risk management, and operational best practices.
- Passion for community building and alignment with the organization’s mission and values.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related productivity tools; experience with CRM or event management systems preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Israeli and American cultures.
- Conversational Hebrew proficiency. Able to speak, read, and write in Hebrew and English.
