About the Israeli-American Council:
The mission of the IAC is to build an engaged and united Israeli-American community that strengthens the Israeli and Jewish identities of our next generations, the Jewish American community and the bond between the people of the United States and the State of Israel.
Job Purpose:
The IAC Eitanim Facilitator leads and facilitates teen leadership and educational sessions, creates an engaging and supportive learning environment, and fosters meaningful connections with participants and their families. This role includes planning and adapting program content, maintaining ongoing communication with teens and parents, and building a strong sense of community through regular engagement and group communication platforms. He/She will report to the IAC NJ Eitanim Program Manager.
Duties include and are not limited to:
- Lead the delivery, implementation, and overall quality of Eitanim programs, sessions, and Eitanim-related community events.
- Facilitate all program sessions, including maintaining attendance records and submitting post-session summaries.
- Support the coordination and preparation of guest speakers, judges, and mentors.
- Communicate follow-up assignments, activities, and action items to participants.
- Submit session evaluations, feedback, and recommendations to the Eitanim National Director.
- Participate in all required IAC Eitanim national events and staff training initiatives, including but not limited to facilitator onboarding, Facilitators Forum meetings, ongoing professional development trainings, the National Hackathon, and the Eitanim track at the IAC National Summit.
- Collaborate closely with the regional team to ensure the successful planning and execution of the program.
- Represent the IAC professionally and serve as a positive ambassador of the organization and its mission.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and experience with the Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodology.
- Creative, energetic, proactive, and self-motivated.
- Experience working with teens in educational, leadership, youth development, or community settings.
- Strong connection to and understanding of both Israeli and American cultures and identities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs.
- Flexible schedule, including daytime hours (as needed), evening program sessions (typically 1-3 evenings per week, between 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM), and participation in IAC Eitanim meetings, regional activities, seminars, and special events.
- Experience within the Israeli and/or Jewish community sector preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital communication and social media platforms.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing administrative responsibilities effectively.
- Strong operational and administrative skills.
- Fluency in Hebrew and English, including speaking, reading, and writing
*Full-time employees working 20 plus hours per week shall be eligible for insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision, & life) following the new hire waiting period.
