Hygiene Operator Whey

SDUK's brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy free products.
This is a key role within the whey production area. We process whey, which is a by-product of the cheese-making process, for infant formula – an area the business is continuing to grow within.
The finished product is a powder, so the role will be within a high-care environment due to the formula being for infant consumption – so deep cleaning needs to be of a high quality, with real attention to detail.
The duties will be in a warm environment, with the cleaning predominantly dry. Some cleaning chemicals will be used, with requirements to carry equipment up and down ladders to gantry levels.
Due to the high-care environment, it is a requirement for all jewellery, piercings, false nails and eyelashes, and make-up to be removed for the shift.
Shift pattern: 3-on/3-off, days only 7am-7pm
YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…
- Ensuring and maintaining excellent standards of hygiene throughout the production and storage areas.
- Completing general food safety cleaning duties.
- Ensuring all machinery and equipment is returned safely to its rightful production line in a clean condition.
- Highlighting any malfunctions of faults of equipment promptly.
- Ensuring you are fully conversant with all equipment and chemicals before operating/using.
