Responsibilities
  • Work with and support junior and intermediate hydrogeologists and environmental scientists in carrying out hydrogeological assessments, landfill assessments, water budget assessments, construction dewatering assessments and permitting, environmental site assessments and remediation projects
  • Design and implement environmental investigations, remedial action plans and design of site remediation options
  • Collaborate with technical and professional staff from across the company and sub consultants to complete assignments
  • Development and coordination of client relationships and business growth in Ontario, including proposal writing, business development and client management
  • Contributions to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees
  • Business travel to other Dillon offices, upon request

Qualifications
  • A degree in earth sciences, environmental/geological engineering, or geology/hydrogeology, preferably at the Master’s level
  • Licensed to practice as Professional Engineer or Geoscientist in the province of Ontario, or eligible to be licensed within six months
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.
Experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in the environmental consulting industry
  • Strong knowledge of physical hydrogeology, environmental site characterization and remediation, landfill assessments and monitoring programs, construction dewatering assessments including Permit to Take Water and the Environmental Activity and Sector Registry.
  • Experience with Local, Provincial and Federal regulations, permitting and approvals processes
  • Capabilities in numerical groundwater flow and contaminant transport modelling will be considered an asset, ideally proficiency with MODFLOW and FEFLOW
  • Developed client relationships in mining, public sector, land development, and Indigenous communities will be considered an asset

Skills Required
