The Role

$30-40/hour

The HVAC Technician II is responsible for intermediate-level tasks in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This
role requires a combination of technical knowledge and practical experience to perform complex assignments and guide junior technicians. The HVAC Technician II will ensure system
efficiency and safety while providing excellent customer service. This position will develop and maintain a Preventative Maintenance Program for our facilities.

  • Install HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, wiring, and thermostats.

  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical components.

  • Ensure systems are operating efficiently by performing system diagnostics and adjustments.

  • Develop and maintain a Preventative Maintenance Plan for all HVAC equipment.

  • Diagnose and repair complex malfunctions in HVAC systems.

  • Replace faulty components such as motors, compressors, and control boards.

  • Ensure timely and effective repairs to minimize downtime and disruption.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential issues.

  • Document findings and recommend corrective actions to senior technicians or supervisors.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during inspections.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Stay updated on local, state, and federal HVAC regulations and codes.

  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately and ensure team members do the
    same.

  • Interact with customers to explain technical information clearly and professionally.

  • Address customer concerns and provide solutions to enhance system performance.

  • Maintain positive customer relationships through effective communication and service.

  • Mentor and guide junior HVAC technicians and apprentices.


  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay current with industry
    advancements.


  • Demonstrate leadership and initiative in enhancing team skills and knowledge.

  • Complete detailed work orders and service reports accurately.

  • Maintain records of all maintenance and repair activities.

  • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible for reference.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a certified HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Proven experience with complex HVAC systems and components.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools for HVAC work.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints..
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants (required).
  • Additional industry certifications (e.g., NATE, HVAC Excellence) are preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • This job operates in various environments, including commercial, and industrial settings.
  • Work may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and heights.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
  • Requires travel to different dispensaries and locations throughout assigned area, particularly during peak times.
  • Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities, not hours; must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, sit, and bend for a majority of their work schedule.
  • Must be able to travel to other office locations.
  • Ability to use different hand and power tools
  • Required to have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving history. Must have own transportation.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Selected candidate will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check with the local law enforcement or local Police Department.
