As an experienced online educator, the candidate will work as an independent contractor of LINC Education to offer online facilitation services for students studying in the Masters of Teaching-Primary (Online) offered by Victoria University Online. Candidate must possess strong knowledge of primary humanities education, with expertise in curriculum development, pedagogy, and teaching across diverse humanities disciplines. They should be able to support students in designing, implementing, and evaluating learning programs, integrating technology and global perspectives into humanities teaching, and incorporating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives to develop culturally responsive learning experiences.

Desired Candidate Profile 

  • A Doctoral qualification or Master's Degree in Teaching and/or the relevant discipline area, or equivalent accreditation and standing.

  • 5 years of relevant primary/secondary school teaching, research and/or professional experience in the last 5 years

  • Knowledge and understanding of teacher education policies and practices.

  • Valid Teacher’s Registration in Australia (VIT Preferred), but QCT, NSW acceptable

  • Empathetic, ambitious, warm and outgoing personality willing to work closely with people from diverse cultures; 

  • Proficient in English language; excellent oral and written communication

  • Must possess a working laptop and have access to high-speed (>10 MBPS) stable internet connection; 

  • Ability to quickly learn and use technology platforms for interacting with students, including host university’s LMS and LINCtrac (training on these platforms will be provided).


The candidate needs to be available between 5 pm to 10 pm every day.


Roles & Responsibilities 

LINC Fellows will be responsible for providing: 

  1. Subject matter guidance to a group of 25-30 undergraduate online students;  

  2. Support in learning skills like academic writing, research and time management; 

  3. 1:1 and small group tutoring sessions; 

  4. Guidance on relevant reference material; 

  5. Assessment marking with long-form feedback 

  6. Management of discussion forums; and

  7. Proactive, prompt and personalised support to student queries and issues.


LINC Fellows will be expected to promptly interact with students over email, or calls / online sessions from locations of their convenience (e.g. home, office etc.).

What’s on offer? 

Selected applicants will be engaged as independent contractors and will be offered a competitive fixed remuneration of up to $6350 for a cohort of 25 students. Further upsides are available based on larger batch sizes as well as achievement-related increments of up to 20%.

The role is part-time (15-20 hours per week) with scheduled weekend availability. Educators will have the flexibility to work from a location of their convenience.



Skills Required

  • Doctoral qualification or Master's Degree in Teaching and/or the relevant discipline area, or equivalent accreditation and standing
  • Five years of relevant primary or secondary school teaching, research, and/or professional experience within the last five years
  • Knowledge and understanding of teacher education policies and practices
  • Valid Teacher's Registration in Australia; VIT preferred, with QCT or NSW registration acceptable
  • Proficient English language skills with excellent oral and written communication
  • Working laptop and stable high-speed internet connection above 10 Mbps
  • Ability to quickly learn and use university LMS and LINCtrac technology platforms
  • Availability between 5 pm and 10 pm every day
  • Scheduled weekend availability
