Description

The HR & Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing and provides day-to-day administrative support for the Human Resources function for an FQHC with approximately 175 employees. Working under the direction of the HR Manager, this position maintains employee and payroll records, supports benefits and leave administration, manages routine employee changes and HR documentation, and assists with recruitment and other HR processes. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate, confidential records, and ensuring payroll and HR transactions are completed efficiently and in accordance with organizational policies and applicable requirements.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in payroll and/or human resources administration.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in HR, business, accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience processing payroll and working with an HRIS/payroll system.
  • Working knowledge of payroll practices, employee records, benefits, and timekeeping.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information appropriately.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also working effectively with supervisors and employees.
