About the Role

The Human Resources Operations Specialist is a hands-on role for someone who loves creating smooth, reliable human resources experiences for our teams. You’ll be the person who makes sure our people systems are accurate, our HR compliance processes are consistent, and every team member feels welcomed and set up for success. This role is all about accuracy, consistency and process excellence; and beyond day‑to‑day HR work, the Human Resources Operations Specialist actively contributes to a positive, inclusive culture grounded in trust, equity, and continuous improvement, supporting our mission and helping our organization and communities thrive.

In this role, you will:

  • Administer lifecycle processes, from recruiting and onboarding through employment changes, and offboarding.
  • Serve as a trusted human resources contact, responding to employee questions about benefits, policies, and HR processes.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS and employee records, produce standard and ad hoc reports, and coordinate payroll change inputs to Finance.
  • Administer employee benefits program and activities, including open enrollment, employee education, and support for ACA compliance and reporting.
  • Support compliance, audits, reporting, and required filings related to employment and benefits.
  • Participate in and add value to ongoing process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen how the human resources function operates across the organization.

Who We’re Looking For

A collaborative, mission-driven human resources professional with:

  • 2-3 years of experience in an HR operations, HR coordinator or HR administrative role.
  • Experience with employee benefits administration with exposure to ACA compliance and reporting preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms. Familiarity with Paycom a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent processes with competing deadlines.
  • Reliable transportation, and flexibility to visit primary branches on a rotating schedule.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous learning, and a commitment to excellence.
  • College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, preferred; HR certification or in progress (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) a plus.

This role is based at our Appleton Club and supports a multi-site workplace. Regular on-site presence is expected. We are not able to offer relocation assistance, and we welcome applicants who are currently local or planning a self-directed move.
