The Human Resources Manager oversees the human resources (HR) function and day-to-day operations of the HR team. In partnership with the VP of Accounting & HR, this position is responsible for effectively managing all areas of Human Resources including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, employment law compliance, employee engagement, organizational development, and total rewards. Additionally, this position provides oversight for the employee housing program and employee event coordination.

The HR Manager provides daily management and mentoring for the Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist and Employee Housing & Event Coordinator positions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establishes and implements HR initiatives, programs, and practices in support of Ranch objectives; measures and assesses effectiveness.

• Delivers high-quality HR services to employees and managers, contributing to a positive employee experience and strong organizational culture.

• Collaborate with senior leadership team and management team to drive organizational performance, productivity, and capability through HR initiatives.

• Advise Directors, Managers, and other leaders on a broad range of HR matters and employee issues, ensuring alignment with Ranch goals and values.

• Fosters and develops positive employee relations building rapport and trust with employees

• Oversees hiring and onboarding processes and practices for a high-volume seasonal workforce, including recruitment through immigration programs (J1, H2B)

• Oversees immigration process and compliance; works in partnership with legal team

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and workplace satisfaction, including recognition programs.

• Ensure compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulations, providing guidance on risk management and mitigating legal exposure.

• Maintains strong knowledge of current HR industry trends.

• Oversee employee development and succession planning programs, identifying and preparing high-potential employees for advancement.

• Leverage Paylocity HRIS & ATS to streamline processes and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations.

• Partner with all departments regarding work related incidents and root cause. Manage the process with workers comp vendor.

• Manage annual OSHA reporting and safety compliance.

• Oversee all benefit programs to include health, 401(k) and ancillary benefits.

o Participate in the annual negotiation process for wellness programs.

o Liaison with 401(k) provider and VP of Accounting & HR.

• Partnering with the VP of Accounting & HR, identify new employee housing lease options.

• Manage all on/off-site employee housing needs and issues; provides support for conflict resolution as needed

• Partner with the VP of Accounting & HR to process payroll.

• Lead and mentor the Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist and the Housing and Event Coordinator, overseeing their professional development and performance.

• Ensure all staff are trained on HR policies, processes, and best practices, and provide ongoing support in resolving personnel issues.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Comfortable working on a small guest-oriented team to pitch in wherever needed in support of Ranch needs.

• Proven ability to implement strategic HR initiatives that align with the Ranch’s goals and foster long-term success.

• Experience in employee engagement, retention, and implementing wellness programs.

• Experience developing and implementing HR programs, policies, and processes.

• Strong background in leading and managing change within an organization.

• Proficiency in analyzing HR metrics to drive improvements and inform decision-making.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field preferred

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; 1-2 years prior supervisory experience.

• Experience working in high-volume, seasonal hospitality environments strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws, including Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, ADEA, ADAAA, DOL

• SPHR and/or SHRM certification a plus.

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

• Working experience with Paylocity or other HRIS platforms required, including management reports.

• Ability to work on-site and remotely, as well as evenings and weekends, as needed.

PAY AND BENEFITS:

Starting base salary range is $70,000 to $80,000 plus bonus. A comprehensive benefits package is offered including medical, dental and vision insurance, PTO, Sick, 401k, and more.
