Role Summary
Our center of expertise Human Resources Legal and Labour Relations Europe (EU, Morocco, North-Macedonia, Switzerland, Serbia, UK and Turkey) provides advice and support on any legal question regarding employment and labour, regarding contractually handling employments with our Senior Executives, on cooperating with works councils and unions including respective collective agreements as well as it oversees Magna's Employee Handbook. Finally Labour Relations ensures the overall coordination of HR knowledge management regarding legal questions and is responsible in other special projects. We are a multi-national team of HR Legal lawyers and experts and a well-established partner for Magna's HR managers, particularly in Germany but also in other countries. We work together in a very cooperative atmosphere -regardless of the geographical location of each colleague - and all enjoy working as a team.
We are currently looking for a Human Resources Legal Counsel Europe (m/f/x) position for a fixed-term of 12 months. The position can be located in either Slovakia (Kechnec or Bratislava) or Germany (Munich or Sailauf).
Key Responsibilities

  • Practice-oriented and proactive provision of legal advice regarding employment and labour related legal matters
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements with respect to Employment and Labour
  • Preparation of strategic recommendations based upon relevant human resources policies and procedures
  • Support implementation of new conditions according to legislation or case law
  • Develop and conduct labour and employment related training and continuing education sessions, facilitate exchange of information
  • Draft and review of human resources policies and procedures
  • Advice on general HR issues including union and employee representation matters, cross-border employments, specific questions regarding deployment of consultants and external personnel, integration of newly acquired companies etc.
  • Representation in arbitration and coordination of litigation


Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • 3 years or more work experience
  • High level of service orientation, economical understanding and ability for acting pragmatically
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English language, preferably German and / or Eastern European language in addition


Education

  • University degree in Legal education with specialization on employment and labour law
