The Human Resources Intern will support the Human Resources department's recruiting and training and development functions at Texas Original Compassionate Cultivation. This role offers hands-on exposure to full cycle recruitment, project management, and the company's Learning Management System (LMS), providing a well-rounded introduction to core HR operations. This is a hybrid position with co-working days in Austin and at the company's facility in Bastrop, Texas.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the recruiting team throughout the full cycle recruitment process, including posting requisitions, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication.
  • Assist with sourcing candidates and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system.
  • Support the coordination and administration of training and development programs for employees.
  • Help maintain and update course content, enrollments, and completion tracking within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Assist with the planning, tracking, and execution of HR projects, helping ensure deliverables stay on schedule.
  • Help prepare recruiting and training materials, reports, and presentations as needed.
  • Support the Culture Committee with planning and coordinating employee engagement events and activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and candidate information at all times.

Additional Responsibilites:

  • Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives within Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development.
  • Travel between the Austin co-working location and the Bastrop facility is required as part of the hybrid schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with an LMS or applicant tracking system is a plus.
  • Ability to reliably commute to and between the Austin and Bastrop locations as required.
  • General office physical demands, including extended periods of sitting, computer use, and occasional light lifting (up to 15 lbs).
