We are seeking a motivated and collaborative HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This role supports the Senior HR Generalist with benefits and leave administration, works alongside the HR Generalist on recruiting and onboarding, and contributes to culture and employee satisfaction initiatives across the organization. Key Responsibilities Benefits & Leave Administration
- Support the Senior HR Generalist in administering all employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans (401k), and supplemental offerings.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions, working with the Senior HR Generalist and vendors to resolve inquiries in a timely manner.
- Assist the Senior HR Generalist with open enrollment, including employee communications, enrollment system support, and vendor coordination. • Support COBRA administration and coordinate with third-party administrators to ensure accurate and timely notifications.
- Assist the Senior HR Generalist in administering FMLA and other leave programs, including tracking, documentation, and compliance.
- Support workers’ compensation processes, including injury reporting, claim coordination, and return-to-work follow-up.
- Help maintain accurate benefits records and support annual audits and ACA reporting requirements.
- Stay current on benefits regulations and best practices; communicate relevant changes to the Senior HR Generalist and HR leadership
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Work alongside the HR Generalist to support full-cycle recruiting, including posting open positions, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers.
- Assist the HR Generalist with pre-employment processes including background checks, reference checks, and offer letter preparation.
- Support new hire onboarding in coordination with the HR Generalist, including preparing onboarding materials, coordinating orientation schedules, and facilitating benefits enrollment for new employees.
- Help maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure accurate and up-to-date candidate and new hire records.
- Contribute to ongoing efforts to improve the candidate and new hire experience in partnership with the HR Generalist.
Culture & Employee Satisfaction
- Support the planning and execution of employee engagement and culture initiatives, including recognition programs, company events, and team-building activities.
- Assist in administering employee satisfaction and engagement surveys; help compile and summarize results for HR leadership review.
- Partner with the HR team to identify trends in employee feedback and support the development of action plans that address areas of opportunity.
- Help communicate and reinforce company values, culture, and HR programs across all locations.
- Serve as an approachable and visible HR presence for employees, fostering an environment of trust, inclusion, and open communication.
- Support initiatives related to employee wellness, diversity and inclusion, and professional development as directed.
Employee Relations & HR Operations
- Support employee relations matters in conjunction with the HR Director, handling all related activities with professionalism and confidentiality, including assisting with documentation, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
- Assist with performance management processes, including maintaining accurate records and supporting managers with documentation.
- Help maintain and communicate HR policies and procedures to support consistency across the organization.
- Support HRIS data entry, recordkeeping, and routine reporting; assist with identifying trends and flagging areas of concern.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records in compliance with data security and retention requirements.
- Provide general HR support to employees and managers across all locations, serving as a friendly and knowledgeable first point of contact.
- Perform other duties as required.
QualificationsEducation & Experiences
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- 1-3 years of HR Generalist or HR Coordinator experience; prior exposure to benefits administration strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting recruiting and onboarding processes preferred.
- Experience supporting leave programs (FMLA, workers' compensation) preferred.
- Experience contributing to culture, engagement, or employee satisfaction initiatives a plus.
- Experience supporting employee relations matters is a plus.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of employee benefits programs and related regulations including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA.
- Familiarity with full-cycle recruiting practices and onboarding best practices.
- Genuine enthusiasm for building a positive workplace culture and improving the employee experience.
- Collaborative, team-first mindset with the ability to work effectively alongside colleagues at all levels and take direction from senior team members.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.

- Proficiency with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new platforms quickly.
- Thorough understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to step into new responsibilities as the needs of the team evolve.
- This role primarily requires sitting, walking, and verbal communication.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand, use hands to handle objects or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- May occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- May exert 10–20 pounds of force occasionally.
