This role focuses on the seamless execution of people operations—specifically payroll, benefits and leave requests, and employee relations—while leveraging technology to drive efficiency and accuracy.

This is a supportive role designed for a candidate with approximately 3 years of experience (or a management professional transitioning into an HR-specific career) who excels at prioritizing multiple projects and responding to time-sensitive requests.

Core Responsibilities

  • Payroll & Benefits Administration: Review timesheets for accuracy, including shift differentials, PTO, and holiday hours. Enter expense reimbursements and one-time payments like bonuses. Partner with the Accounting Department to process payroll; maintain strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and tax requirements. Manage all employees’ leave requests and benefits inquiries.

  • Compliance & Training: Track and document compliance for mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This includes safety training, AS9100 training, and certifications at the facility.
  • Talent Coordination: Support recruiting efforts by collaborating with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies. Assist with local interviews and support the Talent Manager with updating ATS and attending local career fairs.
  • Onboarding & Employee Engagement: Onboard new hires in HRIS, ensuring all documentation is completed on time and properly filed. Deliver new hire orientation and the administration of employee recognition programs.
  • Tech & Data Management: Expertly navigate and maintain the HRIS (BambooHR) and payroll systems (Trax). Rely on ChatGPT, Microsoft Office Suite, and other digital tools to complete tasks faster and with greater accuracy.
  • Operational Agility: Prioritize multiple projects and manage last-minute, time-sensitive requests. This role requires high self-direction as there are no direct reports for delegation.

Required Skills & Abilities
