Magna New Mobility is seeking an HR Generalist to be part of the new mobility team. An ideal candidate should have good understanding of all facets of HR in operations. In this role, you will be responsible for support all components of the HR function, as well as the policies and procedures, in accordance with the Employee’s Charter.
What you will be doing in this role:
- Support & lead recruiting process as needed, including preparation of job requisitions, collection and review of resumes, administration of testing, interviews, follow-up feedback to candidates, etc. (full life cycle recruitment)
- Work with teams to determine and execute talent sourcing strategy.
- Support in administration of the compensation program, including market comparisons, internal equity assessments, participation in the analysis and presentation of the Total Compensation Program including supporting the year end wage and bonus process
- Ensure company policies and procedures comply with applicable government legislation and timing and the Employees Charter.
- Coordinate/support needs of global Immigration requests as required.
- Assist in developing/implementing Employee Handbook
- Support the maintenance of the Workday.
- Assists in collection and processing of new hire paperwork (benefits, IT access, payroll documentation etc.)
- Help administer benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement program, COBRA, life/disability, leaves of absence, EFAP program & open enrollment.
- Assist with annual performance process and 90-day process.
- Support managers with performance management inquiries.
- Assist in the coordination, development, and delivery (when applicable) of relevant training programs including orientation and onboarding of new employees, new program roll out.
- Assist in the development and co-ordination of coop and internship programs.
- Support with marketing Magna New Mobility as an employer of choice and development of brand ambassadors
- Preparation of Magna New Mobility specific presentations for communication meetings.

What you should bring to this role:
- Diploma/Certification in Human Resources
- SPHR or PHR certification preferred
- Three (3) years Human Resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Knowledge of Human Resources practices and principles, and familiar with relevant employment legislation
- Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Applicant tracking software, HRIS Software (i.e., PeopleSoft, Workday)
- Knowledge of lifecycle recruiting
- Sense of urgency and customer service oriented
- Comfortable with analyzing data and identifying trends
- Excellent communication/presentation skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Able to work in a team or independently
- Experience in tec start up, manufacturing & Engineering industry

- Excellent written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be self-starter with superior accuracy and the ability to maintain confidential information, records and/or files

Work Environment:
- Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Ability to travel required..
