Position Overview:

We are seeking an independently motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Director to lead our employee experience, HR functions, and support our team. This role is crucial in promoting Legacybox’s core values to be above reproach, build relationships, always be improving, keep it simple, deliver impactful experiences, and ship quickly & often. You will work closely with leadership to shape our HR strategies, lead communications, manage employee relations, and keep it simple.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be Above Reproach
    • Employee Experience: Champion Legacybox’s values, ensuring all employees feel valued and equipped to succeed. Design and implement employee engagement initiatives that promote a positive work environment and enhance overall job satisfaction and performance. Become the company's cultural ambassador
  • Build Relationships
    • Communication: Communication is the key to our cultural experience. Facilitate effective communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged. Develop, implement, and manage an internal communication strategy. Develop multi-point communication channels to relay company focuses. Always lead with the ‘why’.
    • Employee Management: Partner with leadership to design and implement effective employee development programs and retention strategies. 
  • Always Be Improving
    • HR Policies and Compliance: Stay current with HR trends and employment laws to ensure compliance and best practices. Maintain HR policies and procedures that align with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Elevating our Team: Support managers with employee issues and policy compliance. Support performance management initiatives, including reviews, feedback, and coaching. Promote learning and development opportunities that align with employees’ roles and career aspirations.
  • Keep It Simple
    • Hiring: Ensure our hiring processes attract top talent and that new hires are integrated seamlessly into our company culture. Utilize our core values as a framework for evaluating candidates, ensuring alignment with our company culture, and fostering a cohesive work environment.
  • Deliver Impactful Experiences
    • Employee Relations: Address and resolve employee concerns and conflicts proactively. Conduct investigations into employee issues, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
    • Administrative Support: Oversee HR administrative functions, including leave management, benefits administration, and system data accuracy. Ensure all HR activities are aligned with budgetary guidelines and company policies.
  • Ship Quickly and Often
    • Metrics and Reporting: Provide timely reporting on key HR metrics and insights to guide decision-making and process improvements. Monitor and analyze data related to employee engagement, turnover, and other relevant metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in human resources, with a background in both strategic and operational HR functions. Experience in both a salary and hourly workforce. Major of career being in mid-size companies of 100-500 employees. 
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to be a cultural ambassador, for company, values, and vision.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices. 
  • Attributes: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a positive and proactive approach to work. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extra Credit: Experience with ADP or JazzHR
