The main purpose of this position is to provide leaves program administration and management for all company leaves to include FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act), medical and military leaves as well as the accommodation request process. In addition, this position will assist in the employment verification, separation and exit interview processes.
Responsibilities:
- Counsels associates regarding leave related issues
- Prepares all correspondence related to leaves process
- Enters and tracks leaves in AS400 and HRMS
- Reviews personnel files to validate eligibility and past leave use
- Coordinates with department management team, safety personnel to initiate and return associates from leave
- Provides information and coordinates state leaves, as appropriate
- Assist with Employee Relations investigative process and manage assigned cases
- Attend training sessions as they become available for up to date trends in leave law/administration
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources management or combination of equivalent experience and education
- A minimum of one or two years leave management experience preferred
- A minimum of one or two years Human Resource experience preferred
- One year of PC experience preferred, including Windows, Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with employees
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Skill in operating a PC including Microsoft Office, AS400, HRMS
- Knowledge of human resources processes and leave law
