About the Role 

We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful People Partner (HR Business Partner) to join our growing People & Culture team. This role is pivotal in supporting our Mid-Atlantic offices and contributing to national HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic insight and hands-on execution across all core HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, compliance, and onboarding.

This position requires 3-4 days per week in office presence. Individuals hired for this position will be required to travel to other offices throughout New York, New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania on a regular cadence.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a professional services or accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in HCM systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

- Support onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a seamless new hire experience.
- Facilitate new employee integration and retention strategies.

- Partner with leadership and resource management to identify hiring needs.

- Support Campus Recruiting Lead with local campus events, as needed.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR-related matters.
- Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and promote a positive work environment.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and PIPs.

Compliance & Policy Management

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Manage investigations and employee separations with discretion and professionalism.

HR Operations & Systems

- Maintain accurate records in HRIS (Workday experience preferred) and generate reports.

Culture, Engagement & Development

- Support inclusion and employee engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development to identify training needs.
- Promote firm-wide programs and events in partnership with other offices.

Strategic HR Partnership

- Collaborate with cross-functional HR functions including recruiting, total rewards, resource management and learning and development.
- Provide insights from HR data to inform business decisions.
- Support organizational change and workforce planning initiatives.
