Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our organization. As an HR Business Partner, you will work closely with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals and act as a trusted advisor. Additionally, you will oversee the high-volume staffing and recruiting function for a dynamic plant and manufacturing environment, ensuring the acquisition of top talent to meet the company's workforce needs. This is a key position that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive HR initiatives.
The pay range for this position is expected to be $135,000-$150,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Job Description:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner and consultant to both employees and management in the organization. The HRBP is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units and serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues. The HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent, assessing and anticipating HR-related needs and communicating these needs proactively with the HR department and business management.  This role will be supporting plant & manufacturing employees in a plant setting.

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Partnership: 

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand business objectives and provide HR guidance and support. 
  • Align HR strategies with organizational goals and objectives. 

Employee Relations: 

  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans. 
  • Conduct investigations when necessary, ensuring fairness and compliance with company policies and applicable laws. 

Talent Management: 

  • Partner with management to identify current and future talent needs and develop strategies to attract, retain, and develop employees. 
  • Implement talent management processes, including workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development initiatives. 
  • Work to ensure high-volume staffing and recruiting practices are being followed, implementing new strategies where necessary to ensure efficiency targets are met 

Performance Management: 

  • Facilitate the performance management process, providing guidance to managers and employees, ensuring consistent and fair application of performance standards. 
  • Assist in developing performance improvement plans and monitor progress. 

Compliance and Policy Implementation: 

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. 
  • Implement HR policies and procedures consistently across the organization. 
  • Training and Development: 
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. 
  • Provide coaching and training to managers to enhance their leadership and people management skills. 

Data Analysis and Reporting: 

  • Analyze HR data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to improve HR programs and initiatives. 
  • Prepare regular HR reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on HR business partnering.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment, including employee/labor relations and interpreting or administering collective bargaining agreements.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze workforce data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Experience with Power BI or equivalent data visualization/reporting tools to develop reports, dashboards, and workforce insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, management, and union representatives.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or Cantonese desired.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, in addition to a full range of generous medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • Master's degree
  • 5+ years of progressive human resources experience focused on HR business partnering
  • Experience working in a unionized environment, including employee and labor relations and collective bargaining agreement administration
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
  • Strong analytical skills, including workforce data analysis, trend identification, and actionable recommendations
  • Experience with Power BI or equivalent data visualization and reporting tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with employees, management, and union representatives
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Cantonese
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR
