Job Description

This is a hybrid role with 4 days in the office, 1 home office day.

  • Own all aspects of payroll and benefits – processing, reporting, issue resolving
  • Onboard all new employees – lead new employee orientation, process benefit enrollments, input data into HR databases
  • Create and provide data needed for various reports, both within the HR department and also for Accounting and members of leadership
  • Maintain all employee files
  • Manage day-to-day tactical work while not losing sight of the bigger picture, using knowledge of details to meaningfully contribute to decisions made in and outside of the HR department
  • Variety of other essential HR tasks as well as special projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • 1-2 years experience working in Human Resources, particularly with payroll and benefits, preferred
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment law
  • Strong understanding of business drivers and a desire to add value through strategic use of HR policies and process
  • Ability to see the gray in many situations, to accept it, and to independently problem-solve despite ambiguity
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, and ability to concisely articulate thoughts or logic path to varying levels and divisions of the organization
  • Personal confidence, professional maturity and flexibility to meet the ever-changing challenges of our fast-paced business
