This dual role requires high operational discretion, excellent organizational skills, and strict compliance with defense industry protocols, including NISPOM and visitor control procedures. The ideal candidate will play an important part in supporting our employees and helping HR operations run smoothly. They will manage front-desk security, greet cleared personnel and visitors while maintaining highly sensitive personnel records, and supports recruitment pipelines and functions.

What are the primary responsibilities for the Human Resources Assistant/Receptionist position?
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Team
- Greet customers and employees
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee information
- Assist in coordinating new hire onboarding activities, including preparation of employee documentation, interviewing, and new hire orientation scheduling
- Assist with recruitment activities including sourcing for candidates, interviews, candidate communications, and recruiting events
- Support employee status changes including hires, transfers, benefits administration and inquiries
- Maintain HRIS data and ensure information accuracy and integrity
- Prepare employment verification requests and HR related correspondence
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and other special projects and events
- Manage all incoming phone calls
- Ordering of office supplies and meals
- Serve as a back-up to the Travel Coordinator
- Assist with coordinating career fairs
- Assist with the internship program
- Manage reception desk
- Distribute mail
- Manage company calendars
- Potential travel coordination for the Chantilly facility
- Perform other duties as assigned
What background will make you successful?
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- 2+ years' experience in administrative support HR administration preferred
- High proficiency with MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to handle Personal Identifiable information (PII) and protected security data with absolute confidentiality
- Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities, with a professional demeanor and familiarity with high security environments
- Prior exposure to an HRIS (ADP Workforce Now preferred) or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is highly advantageous

Where is the position located?
This position is located in Chantilly, VA
*The likely salary range for this position is $28 - $34 per hour. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
