Job Description:

Quevera is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator to join our People Services team in Columbia, Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR professional looking to build hands-on experience across multiple areas of Human Resources.

Reporting to the Director of People Services, the Human Resources Administrator will provide day-to-day support throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding, employee records, HR systems, benefits administration, reporting, and employee support.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with confidential information, and committed to providing an exceptional employee experience.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate employee records and information within the HRIS. 
  • Support employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding activities. 
  • Prepare HR documents, correspondence, forms, and employee communications. 
  • Process and track employee changes, including new hires, compensation, position, and status changes. 
  • Assist with benefits enrollment and other benefits-related administrative activities. 
  • Respond to routine employee questions and appropriately escalate matters requiring additional HR support. 
  • Maintain organized and confidential personnel documentation. 
  • Assist with HR reporting, data tracking, audits, and record reviews. 
  • Support HR policies, procedures, programs, and employee engagement initiatives. 
  • Coordinate with Staffing, Security, Payroll, IT, and other departments to support employee needs. 
  • Provide administrative and project support to the Director of People Services and People Services team.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered. 
  • 0–2 years of HR, administrative, or related professional experience. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Ability to learn and effectively use HR and business systems. 
  • Strong customer-service mindset and ability to work collaboratively. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or another HRIS. 
  • Experience within a government contracting or professional services environment.
