This position is seeking a hands-on, proactive HR Director to lead the HR function. This role
will be instrumental in re-energizing HR initiatives, developing a strong and organized HR
team, and fostering collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate is an HR leader
who can work seamlessly with both executives and hourly employees and is energized by
fast-paced environments with complex workforce dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as a strategic business partner to the leadership team while remaining
approachable and connected to frontline staff. - Lead and develop the HR team (generalists and admins) to ensure consistent and
effective support across the plant. - Build and execute HR initiatives and systems from the ground up, including
employee engagement programs, training, and policy development. - Drive key projects, including ERP and payroll system cleanup and refinement.
- Collaborate with department heads to support hiring, onboarding, and talent
development strategies. - Maintain a positive and compliant work environment aligned with company values
and employment law. - Analyze workforce trends (e.g., attrition) and implement solutions that support
business performance. - Manage compensation and benefits programs, including leave administration.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping and oversight of the HRIS system.
- Coach and support supervisors and managers on employee relations and HR best
practices.
- 5+ years of HR experience in a high-volume manufacturing or food production environment.
- Proven ability to lead and complete HR projects and implement new systems and processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—comfortable navigating executive strategy and daily floor-level interaction.
- Practical understanding of labor laws, compliance, and people-centric policy development.
- Experience building internal training, employee development, and engagement programs.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to hold teams accountable.
- Enjoys fast-paced, hands-on environments and thrives amid change.
- Degree preferred but not required; experience and capability are most important.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desired.
