HSO is looking for an enthusiastic Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in the US. As the HSO-GS Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while providing essential support for all accounting functions. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, examine, and analyze financial records and statements for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Support the month-end closing process by preparing necessary journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to help guide decision-making.
- Work closely with external auditors to facilitate annual audit processes.
- Implement best practices for accounting and financial reporting procedures.
- Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a general accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Dynamics GP, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills (including the use of formulas and pivot tables).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a technology or consulting firm is a plus.
