About the Role:

We are looking for a strong, hands-on HSE Manager to lead a step change in Health & Safety standards across our Spanish operations (Anglesola and Burgos).

This is a transformation-focused role, with an immediate priority on improving Health & Safety performance, stabilising risk and embedding a more proactive, accountable safety culture across both sites.

You will play a key role in raising standards, influencing behaviours at all levels and ensuring Health & Safety becomes fully embedded in daily operations. This requires a visible and credible leader who is comfortable challenging existing practices and driving lasting change, not simply maintaining compliance systems.

While the primary focus is Health & Safety, the role will also support Environmental and Quality activities as part of wider integration plans.

Key priorities

  • Improve housekeeping, machinery safety and contractor control

  • Strengthen incident prevention, reporting and investigation

  • Build leadership accountability and ownership for safety on the shop floor

  • Drive consistent application of HSE standards and procedures

Role responsibilities

  • Lead all Health & Safety activity across the Anglesola and Burgos sites

  • Act as the key advisor to site leadership on HSE risk, standards and best practice

  • Drive behavioural and cultural change, improving safety awareness and accountability at all levels

  • Challenge poor standards and support leaders to improve performance

  • Lead incident investigations, ensuring robust root cause analysis and closure of corrective actions

  • Implement practical risk management strategies across high-risk manufacturing activities

  • Conduct audits, inspections and reviews to raise standards and embed discipline

  • Coach managers and frontline teams to build local ownership of HSE

  • Monitor and report HSE performance, driving continuous improvement

In addition, you will:

  • Support Environmental and Quality activities, including ISO 14001 and ISO 9001

  • Contribute to the development of integrated management systems

What you'll need:

  • Relevant HSE qualification (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent)

  • Strong knowledge of Spanish HSE legislation and regulatory requirements

  • Proven experience leading Health & Safety improvement or transformation within manufacturing or industrial environments

  • Experience working with high-risk operations and complex hazards

  • Strong capability in incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action management

  • Track record of improving safety culture and influencing behaviours

What were looking for?

  • A visible, credible HSE leader who leads from the front

  • Strong influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge and coach at all levels

  • A practical, hands-on approach with a focus on delivering real change on the ground

  • Ability to balance operational realities with raising standards and reducing risk

  • Collaborative mindset, with a focus on building capability and accountability within the business
