Summary:

The HSE Engineer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at the project site. This role involves providing both administrative and operational site control, monitoring HSE requirements, and enforcing company and regulatory safety policies. The engineer will conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations while promoting a strong safety culture among site workers. Additionally, the role requires identifying and mitigating site hazards, ensuring compliance with IMS (Integrated Management System), and supporting HSE-related training and reporting activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and regulations at the site.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international safety standards.

  • Conduct regular site safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits.

  • Identify unsafe site conditions, report hazards, and ensure corrective actions are taken.

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and recommendations.

  • Conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks for workers and staff.

  • Ensure the proper use of PPE and other safety equipment at the site.

  • Assist in IMS implementation and auditing for continuous improvement.

  • Maintain HSE documentation, reports, and records in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE measures into daily operations.

 

Location: Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of experience within the construction industry.

Qualification:

  • Engineering Diploma or College Degree in a relevant field.

Certifications:

  • Engineer Certification (Mandatory).

  • NEBOSH Certification (Advantage).

  • Additional HSE training certifications (if any).

  • IMS and auditing experience is an added advantage.

Languages:

  • English is required,

  • Urdu, Hindi, and Arabic - Advantage

Other Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk management, and site safety protocols.

  • Ability to identify unsafe site conditions and enforce corrective measures.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to implement a strong safety culture.

  • Experience in conducting site audits, investigations, and reporting.

Skills Required
