WHAT YOU'LL DO

As an HR Specialist, you will:

  • Administer Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests, tracking, and documentation.
  • Coordinate leave administration, including communication with employees and managers.
  • Manage unemployment claims, hearings, documentation, and responses.
  • Assist with workplace investigations, including gathering documentation, conducting interviews, and preparing investigation summaries.
  • Partner with HR leadership and Legal on employee relations matters.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and documentation.
  • Assist with ADA accommodations and interactive process documentation.
  • Support Workers' Compensation administration as needed.
  • Respond to employee and manager HR questions while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Track compliance deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on HR matters.
  • Assist with policy interpretation and HR compliance initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and maintain HR metrics.
  • Support HR projects and process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience with FMLA, employee relations, unemployment claims, and investigations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

This position operates in an office environment and may require occasional travel to restaurant locations. Duties include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, and the ability to use standard office equipment.

Skills Required

  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience with FMLA, employee relations, unemployment claims, and investigations
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws
